Giving Stacy the Tools to Keep Moving Forward

At 16, Stacy has already faced more medical challenges than most people will experience in a lifetime. Diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy in 2015, he has gradually lost mobility and now uses a wheelchair full-time. Then, in March 2025, Stacy and his family received another devastating diagnosis: a brain tumor.

Since then, Stacy has undergone brain surgery, intensive radiation, and aggressive chemotherapy. But his medical journey is only one part of his story.

Stacy is a dedicated student who attends school full-time and maintains an impressive 3.8 GPA. He recently earned his Eagle Scout certification, and he continues to look toward the future—including his goal of learning to drive using adaptive equipment.

Through every appointment, hospital stay, and treatment, Stacy’s parents have been right beside him, often missing work to provide the care he needs. With the added financial strain and essential medical equipment not covered by insurance, the family needed some extra support.

Big Z is grateful to help provide the essential equipment Stacy needs for greater safety, comfort, and independence—giving his family one less burden to carry and helping this remarkable teenager keep moving toward the future he’s working so hard for.
